Ladies Lazy Rendezvous
This year’s annual Ladies Lazy Rendezvous was huge fun! A gathering of Ladies who share a passion for sewing and crafting. Although, it's called a lazy Rendezvous were far from lazy as we do a lot lol. This year Barb Boger led us in making corn husk doll bookmarks. Michelle Burgess led the class in weaving a melon basket. Michele Camp taught a class on making the Michigan style bed gown. Pam Jenkins and I shared our needle felting supplies for flat felting designs. I don't seem to have any pictures of those, so please share your designs. I demonstrated on how to check out if a thrifted sewing machine is is in working condition or is fixable, along with troubleshooting bad behaving machines during the weekend lol. Friday night was pot luck, and all the food was amazing. Saturday we donned our period attire to go to the Amazing Grace Tea Room in Wauchula, which is always a treat. We welcomed newbies Melony Cureton , and Barbie Radford Sloop for the weekend and day visitors Tammy Whatley, Heather Burney Lambert, and Kaylee Keen.
Next year's dates are already scheduled for July 23rd through the 26th. If you have never been and would like to come please contact me or one of the other ladies in the group. Housekeeping rules are.. this is a Christian Campground no alcohol is allowed( and none is needed to have a good time) location is just outside of Fort Meade at Camp Wilderness Royal Rangers Lodge. Sleeping is on bunk beds and the number of attendees is limited so that everyone can have a bottom bunk. Cost varies on how many we have attending for the rental of the facilities.
