Established in 1967, members work to preserve black powder shooting in a family atmosphere.

The Florida Frontiersmen meet once a month for black powder shooting events, educational seminars,and club meetings. Please check the schedule on the left for dates of up coming meetings.

Our competitive events are available for men, women and juniors. Scores are kept and awards are given in monthly, quarterly and yearly in all classifications. Shooters must provide their own percussion and/or flintlock rifles and /or pistols. The Florida Frontiersmen's covered range offers 25, 50, 100 and 200 yard shooting opportunities. Primitive and trade gun ranges are also available.

Traditional archery and hawk and knife competition is also held periodically through out the year.


Prospective members are invited to attend any of our Saturday meetings. You can feel free to participate in club activities, including range safety training and scoring of events. Period clothing is not required at our monthly meetings.
