How Textiles Affected America – JoLynn Crout

April 2 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

JoLynn has attended workshops at Past Patterns (a very popular “historical clothing pattern company dedicated to accuracy”); clothing construction workshops in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Maine, and Ohio; and attended research workshops at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. and Williamsburg, VA. JoLynne founded a small Civil War women’s historical accessories pattern company. To share what she learned, she was a presenter at several historical costuming conferences where her specialty was Calico buttons and fabrics that were worn on the Santa Fe Trail.

JoLynne has the knowledge and skills to teach researching skills and create pre1840 America historical costumes and crafts.
