Al Bailey passed from this life on Friday May 1, 2009. Al left behind his loving wife, Sherri Bailey; children, Chuck Bailey, Beth Ann Miramonti , Aaron Bailey, and 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
| The Offical Obituary Albert B. "Sonny" Bailey Jr., age 64, of Clay City, IL died at 10:15 AM Friday, May 1, 2009 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, IL. He was born January 29, 1945 in Flora, IL to Albert Blaine Bailey Sr. & Marjorie A. (Welty) Bailey. He married Sherri Howard on May 8, 1965 in East St. Louis, IL. He was a railroad engineer for BNSF for 36 years, and his memberships included the following: First Baptist Church of Louisville, IL, Florida Frontiersmen, Prairie Land Frontiersmen and the Edwardsville Sportsman Club. Sonny was an advocate of the second amendment rights and he loved blackpowder muzzleloading and enjoyed live history reinactments. He is survived by his wife: Sherri Bailey of Clay City; children: Chuck Bailey of Clay City, Beth Ann Miramonti & husband Rick of Troy, and Aaron Bailey & Sheri Lemken of Troy; 11 grandchildren: Blaine, Brett, Hannah, Hayden, Brandy, Jacob, Kimberly, Tina, Joshua, Gavin & Kaiden; 5 great-grandchildren: Aiden, Ana, Selena, Mikey & Aubrie. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Bloom Baptist Church, Flora. There is no visitation. Frank & Bright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to American Kidney Foundation or American Diabetes Association. |
